Beneficiary institution: Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM)
General objective of the project: To promote the economic integration of Moldova into EU space, by creating a basis of high level academic and professional competences regarding the European economic and social studies in general, and migration and demography studies in EU and Moldova, in particular.

Specific objectives:

  • To enrich the existing curricula at ASEM in the field of the European Integration and EU policies for migration and demography;
  • To increase knowledge of the target groups in the field of EU migration and asylum policy, as well as Moldova’s regulations in this field;
  • To promote EU integration studies (in the area of migration, asylum, demography and their role in the economic and social development process), inclusively for students who do not automatically come into contact with EU issues (within the framework of summer school);
  • To stimulate contributions of students, researchers and academics in the field of EU migration and asylum policy, current trends and challenges of immigration and EU demography, through articles and research activities as well as discussion on this subject with interested public in general.
  • To enhance visibility of scientific research and its results in the field of EU immigration policy, Moldovan migration and demographics aspects;
  • To stimulate the multidisciplinary research in the field of European integration, migration and demography issues;
  • To stimulate public and academic debate on interest topics related to European integration and European Union;
  • To organize activities targeting policy makers at local, regional and national level as well as civil society.
