Workshop "The European vector of migration in the Republic of Moldova: socio-economic and demographic impact"

On May 10, 2022, in the context of Europe Day, within the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, was organized the workshop entitled “The European vector of migration in the Republic of Moldova: socio-economic and demographic impact.

✅ This event is an activity organized within the Jean Monnet Chair in EU studies and Migration / EUMIGRA project, co-financed by the Erasmus + program of the European Union ??.

✅ The activity comes to celebrate Europe Day, further strengthening European beliefs through the contribution of the Moldovan Diaspora in their native locations.

The topics addressed during the discussion session were:

?Evaluation of the migration monitoring system, in general, and on the community segment, in particular, in order to develop socio-economic development policies;

?Opportunities for socio-economic development: Dispora - Republic of Moldova: strategic objective of the country;

?The specifics of the Moldovan diaspora in the EU states: problems and development perspectives;

?European migration vector of the Republic of Moldova: current events and perspectives;

?Young migration: their professional and civic assertion abroad and at home.

The event was opened by the Rector of ASEM, Dr. Hab., Professor, ASM Corresponding Member, Alexandru STRATAN, and the participants were representatives of state structures, academia and civil society interested in migration issues.
